Internet Explorer 10 and below

Microsoft will not support Internet Explorer below version 11 after january 12th . They will be releasing on final update for IE 8, 9 and 10.

This will probably urge users to upgrade to IE version 11 which is the latest version.

By ending support with IE below version 10 means those versions will not receive more sucurity updates or technical support. If you continue to use those versions, you will be more vulerable to attacks.

Microsoft says the following on its Internet Explorer End og Support page:
“Beginning January 12, 2016, only the most current version of Internet Explorer available for a supported operating system will receive technical supports and security updates. Internet Explorer 11 is the last version of Internet Explorer, and will continue to receive security updates, compatibility fixes, and technical support on Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.“

This should not come as a surprise becausr Microsft announced it back in August 2015.

Now is the right time to upgrade to IE version 11. If you however have upgraded your Operation System to Windows 10 the default browser is called Edge but Internet Explorer is also bulit-in. You can, if you orefer change the default browser.
